Weiher pond is very close by. The hut is an ideal starting point for hikes in the southern Bliesgau region.

The Kleintroler Hut is idyllically located in southern Bliesgau, surrounded by extensive meadows where orchids bloom in spring and summer. Just a few steps away is the Rubenheimer Weiher pond – a popular destination for walkers and nature lovers.

The hut is an ideal starting point for hikes in the southern Bliesgau region and invites you to stop for a cosy break afterwards.

The "Der Rubenheimer" circular hiking trail is particularly recommended. It is a varied hiking trail around the Gersheim district of Rubenheim.

Along its 9.2 km length, you can enjoy fantastic views of the Rohrentalweiher pond and the idyllic slopes of the southern Bliesgau region . As you wander through the ever-changing landscape of forests, hills, valleys and meadows, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature in the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve. At the start, there is a steep climb – but it is the only one.
