Chronik
Die Hochmölbinghütte ist eine Schutzhütte des ÖTK. Die feierliche Eröffnung der ehemaligen Sennhütte fand am 8.9.1924 statt. Zubauten erfolgten in den Jahren 1931 und 1954. Die Schutzhütte befindet sich an den Ausläufern der Warscheneckgruppe auf 1.683 m Seehöhe am „Ostrand“ des Toten Gebirges (Steiermark). Eingebettet in einen Kessel, im Schutze des Raidlings (1.912 m), von der Zivilisation abgewandt und mit Blick auf die Tauplitzalm, haben die Erbauer diesem Schutzhaus einen zauberhaften Platz zugewiesen. Sie ist perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Touren aller Art. Wer dem Salzsteigweg auf alten Wegen durch das Tote Gebirge folgt, kommt bei der idyllisch gelegenen Hochmölbinghütte vorbei.

Betten und Matratzenlager; die elektrische Energieversorgung erfolgt durch eine Photovoltaikanlage bzw. ein Stromaggregat, die Abwasserentsorgung über eine biologische Kläranlage.

*) Wichtiger Hinweis zum Klettersteig Hochtausing: Sollte dein Ziel der Einstieg zum Klettersteig Tausing Westgrad sein, so bitten wir dich den markierten Weg Nummer 281 und 278 über die Schneehitzalm zu wählen. Der Weg durch das Tausingkar führt durch ein Jagdgebiet und ist daher zu meiden. Bei Missachtung droht sonst der Abriss des Klettersteiges!
Funkstille
Die Hütte liegt in einem Funkloch. Vom Grazersteig kommend beim „Gott sei Dank Bankerl“ ist die letzte Möglichkeit zu telefonieren. Dann erst 50 Hm über dem Schutzhaus wieder. Ansonsten herrscht hier Funkstille, uns gefällt es!

Directions
Von Liezen
Über die B320 (Ennstalbundesstrasse) bis Wörschach. Nimm die erste Abfahrt. Nach ca. 150 m siehst du links eine Tafel mit der Aufschrift "Gasthaus Panoramablick". Hier biegst du rechts ab, fährst den Wörschachbergweg hoch. Beim Berghotel Panoramablick musst du parken, wenn der Parkplatz beim Schönmoss ausgelastet ist. Vorbei am Berghotel mündet die asphaltierte Strasse in eine Forststrasse. Folge der Forststrasse und halte dich an der ersten Weggabelung links und fahr bis zum Parkplatz Schönmoos (Strassenende). Die angrenzende Forststraße ist ausschließlich der Weggemeinschaft Langpolten vorbehalten.
Von Salzburg
Über die B320 (Ennstalbundesstrasse) - vorbei an Schladming, Trautenfels bis Wörschach. Nimm die zweite Abfahrt. Halte dich rechts und fahr´ unter der Unterführung durch. Fahr die Hauptstrasse entlang bis du nahezu am Ende der Ortschaft (Osten) auf der rechten Seite eine Tafel mit der Aufschrift "GH Panoramablick" entdeckst. Hier biegst du links ab und fährst den Wörschachbergweg hoch. Weiter siehe oben.
Parking
- beim Panoramablick-Berghotel Wörschachberg 279 (47°34'28'' N, 14°10'25'' E)
- ein kleiner Schotter-Parkplatz befindet sich beim Schranken am Schönmoos, der an Schönwettertagen bereits am Vormittag ausgelastet ist, daher ist es ratsam schon beim Berghotel zu parken

Sommer: Grundsätzlich von Mitte Juni bis Mitte Oktober.
Winter: Für Schitourengeher/Schneeschuhwanderer von Ende Dezember bis Mitte März, je nach Witterungsbedingungen.
Gegen Voranmeldung können Schneeschuhe verliehen und verschiedene Schneeschuhtouren gebucht werden. Bitte unbedingt beim Hüttenwirt rückfragen.
