Die Heinreichalm liegt auf ca. 1680m auf der westlichen Talseite von Dorfgastein, direkt am Salzburger Almenweg. Als Besonderheit gibt es einen eigenen wunderschönen Almsee mit Fischen, bei dem man sich sogar als Angler versuchen kann. Und die Heinreich-Kapelle sollte man sich auch ansehen. Eine köstliche Almjause mit Produkten aus der eigenen Landwirtschaft sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen, es gibt auch noch allerlei Schmankerl wie z.B. Bauernkrapfen, Kaspressknödel oder Topfenstrudel. Es gibt mehrere Wege um zur Heinreichalm zu wandern, z.B. von Dorfgastein Richtung Strohlehenalm und dann den Hinweisschildern folgend in ca. 3,5 Stunden, oder ab Unterberg vom Heinreichgut über den Güterweg in ca. 1,5 Stunden. Alternativ von Bad Hofgastein kommend über die Biberalm oder von Lend kommend über die Kögerlalm.
