Die Grüne Wand Hütte ist über die Forststraße vom Stausee aus erreichbar, die auch mit dem Mountainbike befahrbar ist. Kein Wunder also, dass die urige Hütte gerne besucht wird. Benannt ist die Alm nach der Grünen-Wand-Spitze, die am Talschluss mit 2.946 m bereits die Grenze zum Südtiroler Ahrntal markiert.
