Our hut is located on the Raxalpe in Lower Austria at an elevation of 1,548 m and is accessible only on foot via various trails of varying difficulty levels.
The hut offers basic services: We’re happy to serve a variety of drinks. You’re welcome to eat food you’ve brought with you on-site. For those with a really big appetite, we can offer hot soup. We only accept cash!
The hut has 18 sleeping spots in a dormitory-style arrangement. To make a reservation, email gloggnitz@gebirgsverein.at

Access trail to the mountain hut
The ski route through the Kesselgraben to the Gloggnitzerhütte (winter room) is a scenic route through the snow-filled Kesselgraben.
From the Weichtalhaus, it first goes relatively challenging uphill via the Wachthüttlkammsteig, which is partly very steep and exposed.
