Das Gasthaus Ferchensee liegt zwischen Mittenwald und Schloss Elmau am Fuße des großen Wetterstein auf 1.059 m. Im schönen Biergarten sitzt man direkt am Ferchensee mit einem wunderschönen Blick über den tiefgrünen See in dem sich die Wettersteinspitzen spiegeln und genießt Spezialitäten wie fangfrische Forellen oder den hausgemachten Kaiserschmarrn. Im Sommer lädt der See zum Baden und Bootfahren ein. Ganzjährig ist das Gasthaus Ferchensee Ziel wunderschöner Wanderungen und Radtouren. Von Anfang Mai bis Mitte Oktober verkehrt ab Mittenwald ein Linienbus der Ihnen mit Ihrer Gästekarte der Alpenwelt Karwendel kostenlos zur Verfügung steht.
Zugang
Das Gasthaus Ferchensee ist von Mittenwald aus in ca. 1,5 Std Gehzeit über einen schönen Weg durch das Laintal und den Lautersee, oder von dem Parkplatz der Kranzberbahn-Talstation auserreichbar. Kinderwagen möglich. Außerdem können Wanderer das komplette Wandergebiet Richtung Hoher Kranzberg und Schloss Elmau vom Gasthaus aus gut erreichen. In den Sommermonaten fährt auch mehrmals täglich ein Shuttlebus vom Bahnhof bzw. dem Dekan-Karl-Platz aus zum Ferchensee.
