The Freschen-Haus is located in the Bregenzerwald Mountains, south of the Hoher Freschen in the Laterns Valley, in a scenic spot overlooking the Rhine Valley. The numerous hiking trails leading up from every direction, as well as the surrounding family-friendly trails, offer something for every age and fitness level. Our dining room and the beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking Lake Constance invite you to linger.
The Freschen-Haus offers a total of 50 beds in shared rooms and dormitories. The hut also features a small drying room and a winter room with 13 beds, which is open during the winter.
The spacious, bright dining room offers a pleasant atmosphere for a hearty mountain breakfast at the extensive buffet as well as for cozy evenings at the lodge.
The small Freschen Room accommodates approximately 15–20 people and can be used as a seminar room or for private birthday parties and celebrations.
The magnificent panoramic terrace is the jewel of the lodge, offering breathtaking views of Lake Constance and the surrounding mountains.
Our hut is part of the “Mit Kindern auf Hütten” campaign, an initiative by the Alpine Clubs in Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol promoting family-friendly huts. Suitable for children ages 3–4 and up.
