- from Neustift-Dorf in 4 ½ h - from the Oberissalm in 1 ½ h From Oberiss Hut (parking fee) through alpine pastures to the right vally side. From there on easy walking path with bends to the so-called "Appler", from where you have an impressing view on the glacier area of the Alpeiner valley. Further on passing "Alpeiner Alm" to the Franz-Senn-Hut. Walking time: approx. 1 h The hut is equipped with showers (warm water) on the floor, drying room, meeting room, sun terrace and comfortable eating room. In near surrounding of the hut there are fixed rope routes. Flying Fox and children's climbing hedgehog (pre-knowledge and climbing equipment essential), the surrounding area of Franz-Senn-Hut is especially suitable for family excursions.
