Edelraute Hut
Welcome to the Edelrautehütte!
A mountain hut operated by the Austrian Alpine Club
Located in the Rottenmanner Tauern at 1,725 m, the area around the hut offers a wide variety of opportunities for ski touring, snowshoeing, and tobogganing. Locals affectionately call it the “snow hole,” and even when other areas are already bare, ski touring is still possible from the Edelrautehütte. Larger groups are also welcome; the hut offers excellent facilities for avalanche courses and seminars, as well as for birthday parties and weddings. With 58 beds, a seminar room, and a cozy dining room featuring a tiled stove, the lodge invites guests to linger.
