Die Gotzentalalm auf dem Weg zur Gotzenalm
Die Gotzentalalm liegt am Beginn des langen, kurvenreichen Forstweges, der hinauf zur Gotzenalm führt und im Sommer von vielen Mountainbikern befahren wird.
Wanderwege über Gotzental
Ausgangspunkt einer Wanderung zur Gotzentalalm ist der Parkplatz Hinterbrand oder der Parkplatz am Königssee. Vorbei an der Jennerbahn Mittelstation führt der Weg über die Königsbachalm zur Gotzentalalm. Auf der Gotzentalalm stehen heute noch 4 Kaser und eine Diensthütte, 1859 standen sogar 9 Hütten auf der Alm. Der weitere Weg zur Gotzenalm führt in Serpentinen über eine steile Forststraße.
Abstieg nach KesselVon der auf 1.110 Metern Höhe gelegenen Gotzentalalm kann man bis zur Bootsanlegestelle Kessel am Königssee absteigen. Diese Anlegestelle wird nur bei Bedarf von den Schiffen der Königsseeflotte angefahren, der Abstieg über den Kesselsteig ist steil und anspruchsvoll.
Mit dem MountainbikeDie Mountainbike Tour 9 auf die Gotzenalm ist der MTB-Klassiker für ausdauernde Bergradfahrer in den Berchtesgadener Bergen. Die Gotzentalalm liegt genau am Beginn des steilen Schlussanstieges und beitet sich so als Raststation an, um nochmal zu regenerieren und sich vor der kräfteraubenden Steilpassage zu stärken.
