The DAV House Spitzingsee underwent a complete renovation in 2024–2025 and is picturesquely situated in the heart of the Tegernsee-Schliersee Alpine region—just a few meters from the idyllic Spitzingsee. With its alpine setting, it is the perfect starting point for a wide range of outdoor activities in every season, as well as an ideal place for relaxation or events. The surrounding mountains offer a variety of opportunities for hiking, mountaineering, or winter sports, making the lodge a popular destination for families and groups.

Our newly renovated shared rooms for two, four, or six people feature their own washbasins, while modern shared restrooms are available on each floor. For added comfort, we offer double and family rooms with private bathrooms in the attic—ideal for guests who value privacy.

For self-catering guests, a spacious, fully equipped communal kitchen with six cooking stations is available. Two spacious common rooms invite you to enjoy cozy get-togethers. Guests can opt to book a hearty breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired.

Our self-catering lodge is part of the “Mit Kindern auf Hütten” campaign, an initiative by the Alpine Clubs in Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol promoting family-friendly lodges. It is suitable for children ages 3 to 4 and older. Our activity areas: Surroundings suitable even for toddlers, a playground right next to the lodge, a climbing rock, a stream and lake, grazing livestock, a farm museum, and the Firstalm for hiking.

Two additional group/seminar rooms for workshops or events, a large terrace with a view of Spitzingsee and Rotwand, a playground, and access to the lake are the perfect ingredients for spending a ski camp, learning camp, or outdoor vacation with larger groups or school classes.
