Eingebettet in die malerische Landschaft des Karwendels, südlich von Mittenwald gelegen, thront die Brunnsteinhütte auf 1.560 Meter Höhe.
Als beliebtes Ziel für Wanderer und Bergsteiger bietet sie sowohl eine gemütliche Einkehrmöglichkeit als auch einen atemberaubenden Panoramablick auf die umliegende Bergwelt.
Die Brunnsteinhütte ist ausgezeichnet mit dem Umweltgütesiegel, So schmecken die Berge und mit Kindern auf Hütten.
Als Teil der Kampagne Mit Kindern auf Hütten, einer Initiative der Alpenvereine in Deutschland, Österreich und Südtirol für familienfreundliche Hütten, eignet sie sich für Kinder ab 3 bis 4 Jahren und älter. Die Erlebnisbereiche für Kinder sind: Spielgeräte, Brunnen vor der Hütte.

Eine Übernachtung mit Hunden ist nicht möglich.
