Die Bordierhütte liegt auf 2886 m in den Walliser Alpen am Fuße des Nadelgrates. Die Schutzhütte der SAC-Sektion Genf ist zentraler Ausgangspunkt für den Nadelgrat und die Gipfel der Balfringruppe.
Die Hütte bietet insgesamt 46 Schlafplätze und ist in den Sommermonaten von Mitte Juni bis Mitte September bewartet. Außerhalb dieser Zeit stehen Küche, Essraum und Schlafräume den Bergsportler zur Verfügung. Ist die Hütte bewartet, verwöhnt das Hüttenteam die Gäste mit warmen und kalten Gerichten, selbstgebackenem Kuchen und Brot aus dem Holzofen sowie einem feinen Abendessen bestehend aus Suppe, Salat, Hauptspeise und Dessert.

Benannt ist die Bordierhütte nach einem Bankier aus Genf, der den Bau der Hütte im Jahr 1927 unterstützte. Der Zustieg erfolgt von Gasenried und dauert ca. 4 Stunden. Er ist hochalpin; der Riedgletscher muss gequert werden.
