A betonlábakkal megemelt, cseréptetős házikókban nincsen ágy, ezért az éjszakázáshoz derékaljat és hálózsákot vinni kell. A kunyhókban egyenként 3-4 felnőtt fér el. A nomád szálláshoz nem tartozik foglalási rendszer, tehát aki előbb ér oda, az költözhet be. Ezért aki biztosra szeretne menni, annak érdemes sátrat is vinnie magával, a bárnai önkormányzat ugyanis 300 négyzetméternyi területet készített elő sátrak számára a fakunyhók közelében.
Közvetlenül a szálláshely mellett vezet a környék egyik legnagyszerűbb látványosságára, a bárnai Nagy-kő panorámát kínáló sziklájára a K▲ jelzés, amely épp itt ágazik ki a Kohászok útjának K jelzéséből. A falu felől a szálláshelyre érkezve elsétálunk a bárnai kálvária és a fából ácsolt harangláb mentén is.
