Our comfortable hotel has got 28 rooms (80 beds) and apartments cosily furnished. Bar with open fire-place, snuggery, sauna, internet corner, WLAN - connection, parking lot, elevator. It's also possible to rent our rooms as double rooms or family rooms with breakfast. You can book the rooms as holiday flat as well, for 2-10 persons. Welcome to our family run house in the middle of the Hohe Tauern. Our house, surrounded by 3000 meter high mountains, is an ideal starting point for sports activities such as: cross-country skiing, skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, ice skating, curling, mountain hiking, mountaineering, climbing, Nordic walking, swimming, mountain biking. Away from sports you can simply enjoy the peace and quiet, with an incredible view of the Carinthian mountains. We would like to spoil you with homemade products from our own agriculture. Enjoy a rich and healthy breakfast with a wonderful view and in the evening a menu of regional food lovingly prepared by the landlady herself in one of our cosy rooms with tiled stove (Lärchenstube, Jägerstüberl).

The Hotel Edelweiss is located in the picturesque high valley of the altitude spa resort of Mallnitz at an elevation of about 1,200 meters in the Hohe Tauern National Park region.The house, built in the 18th century, was completely renovated in 2010, with efforts made during the renovations to maintain the distinctive country house style. Our house celebrated an important anniversary in 2009: 100 years of Seehäusl - meanwhile we are already 110 years old. For four generations, the quality of the house and the kitchen is very important to the owerns of the "Gasthof Alpenrose Seehäusl". To date, we almost exclusively use ingredients from the surrounding agriculture for the dishes on our menu. Whether the butter at the breakfast table, or the trout at dinner, in all dishes you can taste the natural environment in which they growed. We can not (yet) guarantee the sweet dreams. However, a healthy sleep already. All our rooms are designed so that you can enjoy the tranquility of the "Seebachtal". For your sleep, you certainly do not need to count any more sheep, because the sound of the small river brings you quickly to the dreamland. You can expect a cozy family hotel, quietly located yet only a 5-minute walk from the town center. The perfect starting point for hikes and excursions in our beautiful mountain landscape. Our hotel has been recently redesigned and features a lounge with satellite TV, a small lounge, dining room, daily bar, children's playroom, billiards room with a library, parking spaces, and a ski storage room. The rooms are newly furnished cozy rooms with shower or bath, toilet, satellite TV, some with balcony and safe. Beautiful family rooms consist of a parents' room and a children's room with shower, toilet, balcony, and satellite TV. In winter, our guests enjoy free admission to the Mallnitz indoor swimming pool with sauna, located directly across from our hotel. The ski bus stop for the local free ski bus is also right at the house, or you can directly access the cross-country skiing trail. For our hiking friends, we offer a dedicated hiking service, with guided hikes and equipment rentals; furthermore, you automatically receive the Carinthia Card from us, which opens the door for you to over 100 excursion destinations in Carinthia for free.
