The Alpe Adria cycle route in this section runs mostly through the lower Mölltal valley, bordered by peaks that reach over 3,000 meters: the Reisseck group to the north and the Kreuzeck group to the south of the valley. Among the main attractions worth a visit are the center of Obervellach, the Falkenstein castle, the Bernitz waterfall, the Reisseck and Kreuzeck funiculars, the Barbarossa gorge, the rest area at the Möllstausee artificial lake in Mühldorf.
