Day Hikes: Ebelsbach - Bramberg (18.9 km) – Untermerzbach (18.8 km) or - Ebern (16.4 km)
Hiking times for the two day hikes:
Day 1 approx. 5 1/4 hrs.; Day 2 to Untermerzbach approx. 5 1/4 hrs., to Ebern approx. 4 hrs.
Start (Ebelsbach) and end (Ebern) of the hike are connected to the DB network or there is transfer to DB (Untermerzbach), so the tour can be done easily on weekends both by public transport and car. In Bramberg there are several affordable holiday apartments, with hosts providing transfer to a nearby inn. The very charming and varied hike offers a largely solitary landscape typical of our low mountain ranges mosaic of forests, meadows, fields, groves, but also rocks and views of the surrounding mountains. The villages are characterized not only by the half-timbered construction typical of the Hassberge but also by the valuable Schönbrunner sandstone found here.
