Hiking in Bindlach

The Upper Franconian Way of St. James from Hof to Nuremberg follows the historic Via Imperii from the Baltic Sea to the Adriatic. It connects the Way of St. James routes in Central Germany towards Santiago: from the Jakobsknoten Nuremberg via Rothenburg towards France or via Ulm towards Switzerland.

Over some hills, you are rewarded on this route with a breathtaking view over the Wagner city.

The Bayreuth circular hiking route, a project of the Naturfreunde Bayreuth, covers about 50 km around the city limits of Bayreuth. Public transport offers many entry points for dividing the route into stages.

The starting point of the hike is the car park of the Bayreuth Hermitage. From here, it goes up to Rodersberg, down to Höflas, and further along the foot of the Oschenberg to Allersdorf for a possible rest. Afterwards, the hike leads to Bindlach. Via Laineck and St. Johannis, it returns to the starting point.

Die waldreiche Tour startet am Parkplatz Bürgerreuth und führt uns zunächst zum Siegesturm, wo wir eine geniale Aussicht auf Bayreuth genießen. Von dort halten wir uns strikt an die Beschilderung des Markgrafen-Wanderweges bis uns die Beschilderung nach Hochtheta lotst. Dort können wir zünftig brotzeiten. Nach dieser Stärkung geht es durch den Wald über Hermannshof zurück nach Bayreuth.
