... through the idyllic river landscape of the Nette, the path goes over narrow paths past rugged slate cliffs. Insights into slate mining, magnificent views, and adventures in the tunnel of a former railway line splendidly complete this path.

A really very beautiful route with a large path section. A big compliment to the Traumpfad sponsor, who makes the route even more interesting through his signposts, explanations, and descriptions of the sights. Indeed, the Nette "murmurs" partly in the valley, but the views from the heights are also worth seeing. We extended the Traumpfad by almost 3 km for ourselves, which were definitely not of lower quality. I think there are many more very beautiful hiking trails in this region, and if perhaps soon you can enjoy a snack again at the end of the hike, that would be perfect.
Have fun

Beautiful panoramic views, narrow paths, a railway viaduct, a 252m long tunnel, idyllic paths along the Nette, steep slate slopes, and much more await on this route. This route extends the Traumpfad Nette-Schieferpfad with a path that goes under the Nette Viaduct and continues along the Nette. There is also a nice additional loop at the start with more sections along the Nette and paths across fields with wonderful views of the Eifel. Thus, about 9 km become a pleasant 17.7 km.

On the Nette slate trail - one of the most beautiful dream trails in the Eastern EifelA hike could hardly be more varied on one of the most beautiful "dream trails" in the Eastern Eifel, very well maintained and signposted by trail patrons. Our first destination is the water tunnel of the Margareta Moselle slate mine, before we climb up to the Burgberg. From there, we have a panoramic view of Trimbs. From the Burgkopf, we enjoy what is probably the most beautiful panorama of the Eastern Eifel. The route continues through the former 250-metre-long railroad tunnel into the romantic Nettetal valley to the Nette waterfall. Wonderful paths take us to the former slate quarries and the Kretzers Lay viewpoint. We then walk through the fields to the Burgberg viewpoint. We reach Trimbser Schweiz and climb uphill to the Mühlenberg viewpoint and rest area before descending back down into the Nette valley.
