Route 39 - Dream Path Nette-Slate Path (14km version)
... through the idyllic river landscape of the Nette it goes over narrow paths past rugged slate cliffs with numerous information boards about the local slate mining and other interesting things. The path is garnished with numerous beautiful views of the surrounding villages and distant hill ranges. You walk through at least one former railway tunnel (~250m) and pass by a significantly longer ~500m railway tunnel (however, passing through this is not part of the official path). You also come to the source of the Müllerberg, some former mining shafts, and waste heaps.
Overall, in my opinion one of the better so-called awarded "Dream Paths." I think hikers who are very active in the Eifel and other hiking areas surely know (unawarded) paths that better deserve this title... but for the "average hiker," this route is certainly a nice experience! In my personal rating, this route receives a "Kammanommagehen" :-)
P.S. My personal highlight: my first sighting (approx. 20m away) of mouflons (4 pieces)
