Note: A Mr Pfade route partly served as a template here
This route leads from Waldesch via Mariaroth, the quarry ridge, and through the Kondertal. I omitted the originally planned start because the weather made the round already exciting with frozen ground.
Two notes at the beginning: The route includes a section above an old quarry that is dangerous and should only be attempted by experienced hikers. Children should not be taken here. However, this section can be bypassed.
The back part of the route runs along the Eschbach. I walked on the right side but sometimes had to crawl on my knees under fallen trees. There is, however, an alternative forest path on the left side of the stream.
Overall, a really great route, but also demanding. The elevation meters are well distributed, but the descents are also partly challenging. Surefootedness is a must, as is a head for heights on the quarry ridge path. Not doable without a hiking app.
Have fun!

Very beautiful and varied hike at the beginning of leaf growth and sunshine. Everything in the forest, so surely also great in summer. There are some benches and eating areas along the route. No continuous signage, but it still works well - just be careful after about half the route, you have to choose to go up the mountain to the left at a fork from the main path once...
