Steep climb past the Paredes mills. Monte Aloia viewpoints and descent along the Piedra irrigation canal. Located near Tui and in the Sierra de Galiñeiro, Monte Aloia offers around 10 km of hiking routes amid a unique landscape. It is the result of an exotic reforestation a hundred years ago with cypresses, firs, and Lebanon cedars.

River walk on the border with Portugal At over 300 km long, the Río Miño (port. Rio Minho) is the longest river in Galicia and, after merging with the Río Sil near Ourense, also the river with the most water. On its last few kilometers, it forms the border with Portugal and passes the old border town of Tui. Although the riverside path described here always stays close to populated areas, it still delights with wonderful forest passages. There are also many a vineyard and - quite exotic - even kiwi plantations along the way. For short stretches, we walk along the Way of St. James coming from Portugal.

    Dank der vielen gelben Pfeile unterwegs, habe ich von diesem Track nur ganz selten Gebrauch gemacht. Aber ab und zu doch. Mein bester Reiseführer war der von John Brieley, klein und kompakt mit allen wichtigen Informationen. Hatte auch zwei andere dabei, (einer gelb, der andere rot) die noch ausführlicher über die Stationen berichteten. Habe aber beim Pilgern unterwegs nur den von Brieley verwendet.
