Short trip to a beautiful picnic spotThis easy circuit leads to the lowest situated lakes of the Slovak High Tatras. Until the fatal storm in November 2004, all the lakes were hidden in the deep forest, but they now lie in open terrain. The newly constructed educational trail »Rakytovské plieska« illustrates how such a heavily damaged forest can recover on its own. Thanks to the open, clear terrain, there are always beautiful views along the way, especially of the mighty Kriváň. At Jamské pleso, you can rest very well and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery. In honor of the heroes of the Slovak National Uprising (SNP), who fought in the High Tatras area in 1944, a stone pine grove was planted west of the lake.

    Anstrengende, aber lohnende Tour mit tollen Aussichten. Ganz oben eine erwähnenswerte Kletterstelle (20 Höhenmeter oder so) , nicht schwer, aber man muss schonmal in die Kette greifen und sollte trittsicher und schwindelfrei sein. Es ist keine schlechte Idee, die Bahn von Strbske Pleso einzubauen und ggf. anders rum zu gehen, dann muss man die Öffnungszeiten nicht so im Auge zu behalten.
