According to my records, Petra Vanderheiden Berndt has been presenting us with a Christmas hike every year since 2012 (except 2018), partly with nativity scene visits. So also in 2023. The "pure" nativity hike in South Limburg is about 4 km long. Those who want can extend it to about 10 km through a beautiful landscape.

    Ich war gestern die Orsbachroute mit meiner Freundin gewandert. Landschaftlich sehr schön mit vielen schönen Ausblicken auf die Horbacher Börde auf deutscher Seite und dem Heuvelland auf niederländischer Seite. Die Ruhe, die Abgeschiedenheit und die Stimmen der Natur geben dieser Wanderung ein tolles Flair. Einzig kurz vor Mamelis war der Zustand des Weges wenn man von der Ebene runter geht zum Sensebach in schlechtem Zustand. In der Mitte des Weges war nur Morast und an manchen Stellen fiel es an beiden Seiten schräg ab und man hatte nur Halt an einem Zaun. Da muß unbedingt nachgebessert werden, weil für ältere Leute ist es nicht ungefährlich. Sonst aber sehr zu empfehlen.
