Beautiful circular route to a cozy viewpoint above Au-Schoppernau. The ascents are not steep but stretched out, so it is a somewhat longer route in terms of time but not demanding in terms of fitness despite some elevation gain. On the descent, from the summit cross of Brendler Lug, there is an old Alpine club path through the heath and raised bog area, with a branch to the Bergkristallhut, a managed mountain hut where you can enjoy a great rest under the magnificent panorama of Hochkünzelspitze and Zitterklapfen. The descent takes place via the exciting Tobelweg back to Schoppernau.

A route, just the way we like it: Steep climbs, lots of scenic stretches above the tree line, and a not too easy path over alpine meadows. To finish, a fairly manageable descent through dense coniferous forest. Only the first and last 500 meters on asphalt are pretty s*****e 😇
