Three Stages on the Swabian-Allgäu Hiking TrailSince 1978, this trail connects Augsburg with Sonthofen, with a branch leading to the Kneipp town of Bad Wörishofen. It stretches for hours through extensive forests, the idyllic Anhauser Valley with its numerous fish ponds – one of the most beautiful valleys in the Augsburg Western Woods Nature Park – and along the forested upper edge of the Wertachleite. Benches with beautiful views are repeatedly found at forest edges – sometimes with a magnificent Alpine panorama during föhn winds. In Tussenhausen, we then leave the nature park and hike through the meadow and forest-rich gravel and old moraine landscape to the world-famous spa town of Bad Wörishofen.

A suitable starting point for the extensive hike through the Mindelheim city forest is the small parking lot near the 'Three Gates' east of Mindelheim. The path leads from there gently uphill in an eastern direction towards St. Anna. Here, a short break combined with a visit to the small pilgrimage chapel is worthwhile. On narrow forest paths, the way continues towards Rammingen to the former train station. The train station restaurant Häpfenbräu still invites visitors today with a rustic beer garden for a stop. Well strengthened, the hike then goes back through the shady forest to the starting point.

New Year's Eve hike through the Mindelheim city forest. Initially on good forest paths, a pleasant route. In the last third of the way, the signs of intensive forest management were unmistakable. The Chapel of Saint Anna then compensated for the poor paths.

Gemütliche Flachlandrunde, die vorwiegend auf gut ausgebauten Wald- und Wirtschaftswegen verläuft. Sie ist auch für wärmere Tage geeignet ist, da sie überwiegend im schattigen Wald verläuft.
