This classic route in the High Vosges passes three ice age lakes and then leads onto the Vosges main ridge with alpine vegetation and breathtaking views.

This hike leads to Lac Blanc, Lac des Truites, and Lac Vert, combining stunning views—extending as far as the Swiss Alps in good weather—with fantastic trails and sections through the woods.
In the Vosges, you shouldn’t underestimate the partly alpine terrain, so good gear, sure-footedness, and a head for heights are essential. You should also plan to allow a bit more time, as the rocky and root-covered trails slow you down—but also, of course, to enjoy the views and stop for a break at one of the many great auberges.
As for campsites, we highly recommend Camping Jonquilles at Lac de Longemer. If you can snag a spot in the front row, you can jump right out of your camper and into the lake.
Have fun!

This mid-mountain stage is incredibly diverse and rich in cultural heritage, with one of the highest densities of fortified castles per km² in the world.
Hello,
one of the most beautiful tours for us that we have experienced during our years of Vosges vacations. I have newly created a part of the tour here because apparently the original end of the route is no longer passable.
Great views, the typical Vosges landscape, and opportunities to stop at one of the local farms.
Have fun
Olaf

Really nice tour. Very diverse landscapes.
Please note, a short part of the trail was closed ans you will need a bit of extra hiking to walk around.
I needed much more time than indicated and I consider myself to be faster than an average hiker. 3.15 h might be a time for trail runners.
Absolut traumhafte Runde vorbei an drei Seen. Massig alpin anmutende Wege und Steige. Trittsicherheit ist von Vorteil! Auch bei schlechtem Wetter ein Genuss!
