At the edge of the Forlet Basin, keep a safe distance from the cliff's edge.Roadbook
After just a short while, we reach a fork in the trail at the edge of the Forlet Cirque with its steep rock faces. Slightly to the left is a lookout point. It offers views of the surrounding peaks of the Vosges and the Black Forest, as well as the direction toward Paris.
We pass it and continue to the left. We can already see a small hollow into which we descend to head directly up to Gazon-du-Faing. Before reaching it, we keep left again at a fork.
After passing the Gazon-du-Faing, we continue straight ahead for a short distance and then turn left again at the fork. From here on, we descend gently, following the trail straight ahead, back to our starting point.
