Numerous themed hikes will inform you about the waterways, the bearded vulture and mountain herbs, among other things. From fantastic views on the Marteller Panoramaweg to varied hikes for the whole family to the rustic Lyfi Alm, Zufallhütte or Marteller Hütte to summit tours that require a lot of fitness, the Stilfserjoch National Park offers hiking experiences for every level.
Up to the sky - Ortler circumnavigation with Cevedale ascent
The hikes to the imposing glacier pyramid of the 3,769-meter-high Monte Cevedale, which forms a striking double peak with the 3,757-meter-high Zufallspitze, are among the most impressive hiking tours in the region. A unique natural spectacle are the enormous glacier surfaces of the Cevedale such as the Forni glacier and the colossal backdrop of the Königsspitze-Zebru-Ortler triumvirate. A good physical condition and sure-footedness are just as obligatory for the difficult hiking paths over the glaciers as glacier equipment. The unique Ortler circumnavigation with Cevedale ascent takes you around the Ortler, the highest mountain in South Tyrol, in five days and offers numerous highlights.

Hiking trails along the old watercourses
The famous Waalwege in South Tyrol were built centuries ago along the Waale, the canals used to irrigate the fields in Alpine valleys with little rainfall. Today, these easy hiking trails with low gradients are especially popular with families and groups. While hiking in Martell you can explore some of the most beautiful Waalwege with magnificent views of the mountains, such as the Latschander Waal, Raminiwaal, Rautwaal, Marteller Holzrinnenwaal and Tarscher Jochwaal.

Surrounded by 15 three-thousand-meter peaks, the Marteller Hütte is located high above the Martell Valley in the southern Ortler Group. Here you can enjoy a magnificent view and the original South Tyrolean cuisine. The hut is the ideal starting point for hiking tours and mountain tours in the heart of the Stilfersjoch National Park.
