Via the Osser Trail, it goes steeply up to the Großer Osser with summit cross and the Osser shelter. At the Künische Chapel, I took a detour via path La3 to the summit of the Kleiner Osser. Dream route on the Osser Grenzsteig!Over Zwercheck and Svaroh (1,333 m) to Naturkino and Velky Kokrahc (1,229 m) it goes down to the Lohberger Steindl viewpoint rock (1,054 m). From there, we return along the Grenzsteig to the hidden summit cross of Sesselplatz (1,189 m), continue to Großer Osser (1,293 m) with a short break at the Osserschutzhaus. Over Kleiner Osser (1,266 m) and the Osserwiese, it goes down to the hiking car park at Osser Sattel. TOP ROUTE!

    Ich habe die Tour mit der Rundwanderung " Osser und Grenzsteig von Altlohberghütte" verknüpft, um so einen "doppelten" Aufstieg zu vermeiden. Insofern kann ich nur für die Wegstrecke ab ca. km 2,1 meine Erfahrung teilen. Anders als die vorgenannte Tour bietet diese hier weniger schöne Ausblicke. Den größten Teil der Wegstrecke folgt man weiter dem Grenzsteig, erst ab dem Lohberger Riegel bieten sich einem wieder traumhafte Ausblicke und dann am Zwercheck wieder. In Summe benötigte ich so für ca. 16,9 km und 791 hm gut 6,5 Stunden.

    Ich habe die Tour mit der Rundwanderung "Lohberger Steindel und Zwercheck von Altlohberghütte" verknüpft, um so einen "doppelten" Aufstieg zu vermeiden. Insofern kann ich nur für die Wegstrecke bis ca. km 7,9 meine Erfahrung teilen. Wie so oft im Bayerischen Wald startet man zunächst mit einem enorm steilen Weg hoch auf die "Kreuzung" zwischen Kleinem und Großen Osser. Die Wegstrecke ist konditionell durchaus sehr anspruchsvoll aber machbar, wenn auch eher weniger interessant, da viele Abschnitte über Forstpiste. Oben angekommen, beginnt der wirklich schöne Teil der Tour. Ich empfehle zunächst einen Abstecher zum Kleinen Osser, auch wenn gerade bei der schlechten Wetterlage wie aktuell durch Nässe der Aufstieg auf den Gipfel mit "Klettereinlagen" verbunden ist. Hier bekommt man bereits traumhafte Aus- und Weitblicke geboten. Anschließend folgt man wieder der Wegstrecke auf das zweite Highlight: Den Großen Osser. Hier ist der Ausblick nochmal etwas besser, weil höher und man kann auch mehr Richtung Tschechien blicken. Nach Einkehr (oder auch nicht) im Osserschutzhaus beginnt dann die weitere Wegstrecke über den Grenzsteig. Zunächst sehr eindrucksvoll nutzt sich die Vegetation meines Erachtens ehrlicherweise dann doch schnell ab. Der Abstieg dürfte ähnlich meiner dann fortgesetzen Tour typisch steil und eher unangenehm zu laufen sein. Ich würde empfehlen, dem Grenzsteig weiter bis zum Zwercheck zu folgen. So hat man alle hier relevanten Gipfel innerhalb einer Tagestour erwandert. In Summe benötigte ich so für ca. 16,9 km und 791 hm gut 6,5 Stunden.

    Schöne entspannte Route mit unglaublich vielen Heidelbeeren. Oben an der Schutzhütte ist leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Also Bargeld mitnehmen! Wir waren recht spät am Nachmittag unterwegs und so gut wie immer alleine.

    Gediegen beginnt die Tour bis es dann kurz darauf über Stock und Stein geht. Jedoch mit gutem Schuhwerk überhaupt kein Problem. Zu empfehlen ist auch mindestens ein Stock mit zwei läuft sich aber noch besser. Eine sehr schöne aussichtsreiche Tour die mit Anspruch wie von selbst läuft.

    So richtig kann ich die Route eigentlich nicht bewerten. Wir hatten Dauerregen und weiter oben dann Schnee / schneeregen und Sturm. Wir waren die ganze Zeit in den Wolken und hatten dementsprechend auch keine schöne Aussicht. Ich kann mir aber vorstellen, dass die Route bei schönem Wetter richtig toll ist
