Long distance hike with lots of nature and city The Würm is the second largest flowing water body in Munich after the Isar. This nearly 40 km long river, which gave its name to the Würm Ice Age and after which the Starnberg Lake was formerly named Würmsee, runs through interesting landscapes where riverside paths and forests provide plenty of variety. Since there is no path along the Würm in the first section, we hike from Starnberg via Rieden to Mühlthal, meet the river there, and then stay close to it all the way to Munich.
