The tour starts at the Pfadreich campground, first heading up to the climbing rocks and from there down to the Meuse River. There, you walk along enchanting, shady riverside paths beneath the rock faces until you turn back uphill behind a floodplain meadow. The hedgerow paths that follow lead across the fields before heading back into the shady valley. A section that is no longer maintained—and quite adventurous—can also be bypassed. The rock sections that follow are used not only by climbers but also by slackliners. If you’re lucky, you might get to watch them in action.

A tour that gives the impression of being leisurely in the first meters, but at the latest at the first climbing section you will be taught otherwise.  Surefootedness, a head for heights, and some scrambling experience should be present. Exceptionally varied, with a mix of forest paths, trails, hedge paths, climbing sections, and a detour to the Meuse in Anseremme.

The tour starts at the Pfadreich campground and heads up to the Castel climbing rocks. The trail that follows requires surefootedness, a head for heights, and some experience with scrambling. In particular, the unsecured descent off the hiking trails should be avoided when the ground is wet. If that seems too dangerous, you can head up from the campground—right in front of the bridge—toward the Meuse and the first spectacular climbing cliffs. After a steep descent, you’ll reach the banks of the Maas and follow enchanting, shady riverside paths below the rock faces until, after passing a floodplain meadow, you turn back uphill and follow forest trails to the next valley. The off-road descent there is steep and the ground is gravelly, so caution is advised here as well. In the valley, the route follows a cool stream up to the ridge, where hedge and meadow paths lead across the fields before heading back into the shady valley. A rather adventurous section of the trail—which is no longer maintained—can also be bypassed. The rocky sections that follow are used not only by climbers but also by slackliners. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of them in action.
