The area around Bruneck has numerous hiking trails that lead into the fascinating mountain world of South Tyrol. A good level of fitness and the right footwear are the best prerequisites for challenging hiking tours that take several hours.

Hiking in Reischach at Kronplatz

Reischach near Bruneck is a tranquil municipality where hiking enthusiasts can confidently do without a car. After just a few minutes' walk you reach the hiking trails that lead to the Kaiserwarte, the highest point of the Kühbergl. Leisurely circular walks across meadows and fields, on which you pass the small Kappler Stöckl chapel, are particularly suitable for families with children.

Hikes along the Ahr present a unique fauna and flora, but also a fascinating panorama. If you still have enough energy left after hiking, the climbing garden in Aufhofen, which is suitable for beginners and families with children, provides fun and a lot of action.

Hikes at Kronplatz

In St. Lorenzen - very close to Bruneck - there is a lot to experience culturally and sportingly. From here, hiking trails lead into the mountain world of the Dolomites or to the Furkelpass and the Messner Mountain Museum. A circular hike along the Rienz River takes you through idyllic villages to the Grieswaldile recreation area in Dobbiaco. Here you will find a playground and a fitness trail.

Hiking tours on the Panorama Trail offer spectacular views of the imposing mountain peaks of the main Alpine ridge. From the plateau of the mountain, you can comfortably hike the entire summit area. It's easier with the lifts, whose opening times you can find out by phone.
