The municipality of Bled is tailor-made for tourism, which began here as early as the middle of the 19th century. In 745, the Church of the Nativity of Mary was built here, which was rebuilt into a Gothic church in 1465 and into a Baroque church in the 17th century.
Unique is the free-standing, 52-metre-high bell tower, in which a large and a small bell are still rung today. There is also a bell of your choice that you can ring yourself. The tower can be climbed and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the lake, the mountains and Bled.
