A moderate level hiking route providing a spectacular and unique view of Lake Bled (the view from the castle cannot compare to this in terms of angle or distance). You can visit one, two, or all three viewpoints, but it is recommended to visit all (help yourself with the signage on site). The bonus for those who visit the middle viewpoint is a very cool steep staircase descent and the end of the trip on a wooden promenade that passes right over the water.
Author’s recommendation
About a kilometer away, uphill (northeast) from the start of the route, there is a free parking lot. It is recommended to park there and walk carefully alongside the road since the parking lot adjacent to the camping site is expensive.

Although it is easy to find the viewpoints, you should follow the signage on site to reach the correct places (the names of the points are written on the map as well as in the route description). Most of the walk is shaded, but it is naturally recommended to bring water.Tips and suggestions
The hike on the route is free and recommended for those who want to enjoy a charming and unique view of the lake and the island.
For an easy view of the route and ideal orientation in the field, it is recommended to download the Outdooractive app before setting out on the route.
Roadbook
The route begins behind the beach next to the camping site. According to the signage, start to climb the mountain towards the first viewpoint (OJSTRICA), where there is a bench and a photo opportunity. Then descend back from that viewpoint and continue up to the second viewpoint (VELIKA OSOJNICA). At the crossroads, you can decide whether to continue to the highest viewpoint (recommended) or to continue to the third viewpoint (numbered in the order we went). If you decide to continue to the highest viewpoint, please note that after climbing to the peak, you need to descend a few meters to reach the viewpoint, which is also the highest viewpoint. Then descend the same way to the crossroads we passed earlier and continue towards the last documented viewpoint on the route. There is again a bench for resting and another angle to view the lake and the island in its center. After you finish enjoying the amazing view, descend the steep and fun stairs, continue walking on marked paths until reaching the road, from where you can already see the cool wooden promenade that passes right over the water. Walk on the promenade back to the starting point of the route.
