Our vineyards in and around Rechtenbach and Klingen bear 60% white and 40% red fruit. Our passion is for the classics among the grape varieties: in the case of whte wines, these are the Riesling and the Burgundy varieties. But we also devote ourselves with great pleasure to the bouquet-rich specialties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer.
The red wine varieties are dominated by Pinot Noir, which is perfect for our vineyards. What all our grape varieties have in common is the natural care and attention we give them in the vineyard.
Wine is handwriting. Not only the character of soil, variety, location and climate determine the wine. It is also the winemaker's personality that decisively shapes the wine type. As contrasting as the varieties may be and as different as the ways in which they are vinified - the style of our house remains clearly recognizable. Our high demand for continuity therefore also runs through the various wine categories. We classify our wines according to their geographical origin: the more narrowly defined their origin, the higher the quality of our local, estate and site wines. We prefer the dry, straightforward types, with exceptions we always like to confirm every rule!
