Pesterwitz Estate

The Freital neighborhood of Pesterwitz is idyllically situated on a hill between the Elbe Valley and the Ore Mountains, near Dresden. Lovingly restored half-timbered houses, a church, a manor house, and the Jochhöhschlösschen—after which the vineyard is named—make this place well worth a visit. A rustic farmers’ market in the farm store offers a wide selection of products grown and produced on-site. Enjoy breathtaking views during a wine tasting or a tour of the estate—sometimes across the Weißeritz Valley to the peaks of the Eastern Ore Mountains, sometimes over the silhouette of Dresden. Fruit is grown on approximately 50 hectares, and grapes on approximately 8 hectares.
