Award-winning wines from steep slopes between Dresden and Meissen: Stefan Bönsch combines craftsmanship, terroir, and passion to create exceptional wines with a distinctive character.
The winery of master cooper and winemaker Stefan Bönsch is synonymous with artisanal viticulture and wines full of character from the Saxon Elbe region. After completing his apprenticeship at Schloss Wackerbarth, Stefan Bönsch earned his master’s certification at the renowned viticulture school in Weinsberg. In 2013, he fulfilled his dream of independence by founding his own winery.
Today, he cultivates approximately 1.5 hectares of vineyards on select steep slopes and in historic vineyards in Niederwartha, the Meissen Rauhental, and the Radebeul Lößnitz. The varieties grown include Riesling, Traminer, Pinot Noir, Scheurebe, and Pinot Gris. All wines are pressed in the historic “Kellerberg” in Langebrück and carefully vinified into expressive wines.
In addition to wine sales and tastings, the rustic wine bar at Kellerberg invites guests to enjoy wine tastings and pleasant evenings. Stefan Bönsch also offers oenological consulting services.
