In an idyllic setting on a sunny ridgeline in the tranquil village of Golk, the Winzerhof Golk and the Herrenberg Winery combine wine, fine dining, and breathtaking views.
Perched on a sunny ridge above the Elbe Valley lies the Herrenberg in Golk, one of Saxony’s most distinctive vineyards. The steep, south-facing terraces benefit from particularly intense sunlight and a unique microclimate. Historic vineyard walls store the day’s heat and create ideal conditions for viticulture.
Riesling and Pinot Noir are traditionally grown here on approximately 3 hectares, along with other grape varieties such as Traminer and Scheurebe. The dry terroir, the mineral-rich soils, and meticulous handcrafting give the wines their unmistakable character. The grapes are hand-harvested at the optimal point of ripeness, processed on-site, and gently aged to best preserve their fruit, minerality, and aroma.
Wine has been produced at Herrenberg for over 330 years. Today, the Herrenberg Winery combines this long tradition with modern quality standards and invites you to experience Saxon wine culture in a unique landscape.
