Das Grüntenhaus wurde 1854 von Carl Hirnbein als "Touristenhotel" erbaut. Heute ist es ein Berggasthof mit Sonnenterrasse und Berghüttencharakter, umgeben von der dazugehörenden Alpe. Die Gaststube ist von Mai bis ca. Mitte November täglich geöffnet. Im Winter an Wochenenden bei gutem Wetter und auf Anfrage (der Winterwanderweg ist ausgeschildert).
