Cycling in Wingerode

The Leine-Heide Cycle Route connects over 400 km of the diverse low mountain landscape of the Leinebergland with the Lüneburger Heide and the Hanseatic city of Hamburg.

Beautiful long-distance cycling route along the Leine and through the Lüneburg Heath passing interesting places such as Friedland, Göttingen, and Hannover from Leinefelde in Thuringia to Hamburg.

The bike route takes us along the Leine-Heide Cycle Path following the Leine River from its source in Leinefelde through the Eichsfeld region to the university town of Göttingen.

Varied round through the hilly Upper and Lower Eichsfeld. Hilly sections in the Ohm mountains alternate with flat passages on the Leine riverside or the Golden Mark.

Your bike route starts at the Steintor at the historic rampart in Duderstadt. You cycle via Industriestraße to Westerode. Along the route of the former Gartetal railway, you reach Nesselröden and continue towards Uder.
