Cycling in Cornberg

The mountains in East Hesse are rather tame, so you should not be "shocked" by the title of the route. The route is low-traffic with only short climbs.

The route allows for intensive interval training with generous rest phases in the idyllic northern Hessian hilly landscape.

Route on bike paths and low-traffic roads, variant with only two "passes"

The old miner's greeting "Glück Auf" originated in the 16th century and is still the miners' customary wish for a safe "return" from the mine. The old mining area "Richelsdorfer Gebirge" with its mining settlements Cornberg, Nentershausen, Solz, and Sontra has been shaped by mining for more than 500 years.

The Nordhessen Route connects the valleys of Eder, Fulda and Werra over nearly 230 km.
