    Der Besler ist der Hausberg von Obermaiselstein und, obwohl ich viele Berge gestiegen bin, mein Lieblingsberg. In etwa 2 Stunden erreicht man den Gipfel von Obermaiselstein aus. Es gibt auch andere Wegvarianten von, zum Beispiel, der Riedberger-Paßstraße aus. Der Weg bis zur Klettersteige ist vielseitig (Wiese und Wald) und nahezu ständig Bergauf. Die Klettersteige ist kurz (5-10 Minuten), aber mit Kabelseil und Vorsicht sicher. Wer nicht klettern will, kann auch um den Berg ohne Anstrengung wandern. Diese Wanderung lohnt sich mit wunderbaren Aussichten auf die Allgäuer-Berge sowie auf das Kleinwalsertal.
