Peak Bagging: County Tops
Peak bagging or hill bagging is a fantastic pastime for walkers, hikers and climbers. The peaks we have used in this list combine the highest point in each current county and historical county.
Peak Bagging is a leisurely sport and not recommended to be rushed! Enjoy the journey to reach each summit climbed - it is not a race!
It should be noted that some of these peaks require a good technical ability, so care should be taken when preparing for these summit attempts. Additionally, the inclusion of a summit on our site may not always mean the hill is accessible. Some summits may be on private land with no public right of way or open access. Landowner permission must be sought before accessing a hill on private land. Access rights in Scotland are separate from the rest of the UK.
