Bed linen and towels are provided. Use of the washing machine is included in the price.Three generations live at Binterhof, which has been family-owned for over 350 years. We live and work in and with nature. Our drinking water comes from our own mountain spring. The meat and milk are processed on the farm and refined into cheese, bacon, and sausages. The apples from our orchard are turned into apple juice, apple must, and schnapps.In our farm dairy, we produce quark (soft cheese), soft cheese, and various types of hard cheese from the milk of our cows.In the cheese room, fresh whole milk is processed in stainless steel equipment. After the brine bath, the cheese goes into the aging room, where it remainsunder continuous observation and care until sale.

Our roomsOur well-kept comfort rooms are equipped with shower, toilet and balcony, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the marvelous mountains of Carinthia. SAT-TV is a matter of course. Many rooms are designed in such a way that even families of several families feel comfortable. Children are welcome guests here. Already the morning in the "Gasthof zur Schmiede" begins in every way enjoyable. After getting up, you can relax in the south at the sight of our wonderful mountains, the Jauken and the Reißkofel. In the north it is our idyllic, small village center, surrounded by rich "green", which wishes you a "good day". Our family-friendly, self-catering alpine hut is located at 1800 m above sea level in the family hiking paradise Emberger Alm in Carinthia. On two floors and a living area of approx. 130 sqm, we offer sleeping facilities for a total of nine people in three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy dining or living room, internet connection, satellite TV, a small hut shop, washing machine, tumble dryer as well as a covered garden table, deck chairs and much more in the outdoor area for your relaxing holiday in nature. Our high mountain climate offers optimal conditions for an allergy-free or at least an allergen-reduced stay. The great thermals and the favourable location attract hundreds of flying enthusiasts to the Emberger Alm every year. Wonderful, dark nights, no extraneous light, little wind and much more. The location of the Emberger Alm is perfect for amateur astronomers for many reasons. Our family ski area on the Emberger Alm with three T-bar lifts and a practice lift ranges from 1650 metres to 2200 metres above sea level. Look forward to 10 kilometres of slopes in all three levels of difficulty.

Our farm is surrounded by orchards and is located near the town center, next to the fire station. In the yard stood a large oak tree, which gave the house its name. Three generations ago, in 1927, the foundation of the farm was laid by Maria and Johann Fritzer (grandparents).Over the years, through hard work, we have been able to achieve the current size of 14 hectares of meadows and fields, as well as 20 hectares of forest. The first vacation guests arrived in the 1960s. The breakfast, which consists mostly of our own products, is enjoyed by guests in the cozy farmer's parlor.

Our "Radlerstation" with a very confortable garden, newly arrected wooden huts, and a newly renovated guestroom is directly situated at the Drau cycle path R1.
