The centerpiece of the Ybbstal cycle route is characterized by impressive natural experiences. A particularly fascinating section leads through the Ofenloch, an imposing gorge near Opponitz, and is one of the highlights of the newly opened section. This extends from Waidhofen an der Ybbs to Lunz am See and can be called the safest cycle path in Lower Austria. The route is distinguished by minimal gradients, absence of cars, generous lane width, and continuous railings, making it an ideal excursion destination for families and leisure cyclists.
