Das war die richtige Tour heute. Mit Michael Sch. fuhren wir über die allseits bekannte Route auf dem Lautertalradweg über Wissembourg, Weiler nach Niederschlettenbach auf dem ideal ausgebauten Radweg. Das Beste ist, nach Weiler liegt der Radweg voll im Wald. Michael sagt: das ist der Beste Radweg in der Pfalz. Nach Niederschlettenbach nahmen wir die Strasse hoch nach Nothweiler. Da herscht fast kein Verkehr, uns Radlern gehört die Strasse fast ganz allein. Nach der Durchfahrt der Grenzgemeinde führt der Radweg hoch über den Col du Litschhof in das Naturschutzgebiet der Vogesen. Die Hinweisschilder kündigen den Gimbelhof hier an. Wir waren hurtig unterwegs und freuten uns auf die Pause. In der Ferme Gimbelhof wurden wir sehr gut bewirtet. Die Aussicht auf die Burganlage Chateau Fleckenstein ist bestens. Rückwärts bewegten wir uns auf Bester Asphalttrasse durch den Wald in Richtung Petit Wingen. Die kleine Kommune lässt uns in Richtung Climbach abbiegen. Auch diese kleine Gemeinde im Nordelsass fühlt sich irgendwie als ausgestorben an. Kein Wunder bei den hohen Temperaturen, da verweilen natürlich alle im Haus oder im Schatten. Der Aufstieg auf den Col ist bis zu 8% Steigung moderat. Wir freuten uns natürlich auf die Abfahrt und beschlossen uns die direkte Route über den Geisberg bei bester Aussicht auf die Südpfalz und den Nordelsaß nach Schleithal zu raddeln. Dass uns der Rückenwind unterstützte, kam uns sehr gelegen. So waren wir sehr zeitig wieder an der Rheinfähre, wo wir auch keine Wartezeiten bei der Überfahrt mit der Fähre Baden Pfalz hatten. So eine tolle Route brauchte einen Abschluss. Diesen genehmigten uns am blauen Wagen direkt an der Fähre. Das war eine gelungene Runde bei noch erträglichen Temperturen und schöner Schlusseinkehr am Rhein.
