The Laaxersee is located in Laax in the Surselva region of the Swiss canton of Graubünden. As a contrast to the nearby smaller Lag digl Oberst, it is also called Lag Grond (Large Lake).
The natural shore of the lake is largely surrounded by a reed belt. A walking path runs around the lake. About 500 meters above the Laaxersee lies the massive erratic Crap Fraissen.
