Das Museum Goch wurde in seiner heutigen Form 1991 im ehemaligen Amtsgericht der Stadt Goch gegründet. Mit seiner Sammlung spätgotischer Skulpturen des Niederrheins bis zur jungen Gegenwartskunst vereint das Museum 600 Jahre Kunstgeschichte.
