Rheinauenweg Kehl - Weil am Rhein

The actual Rhine floodplain trail stubbornly runs along the Rhine until it reaches the Leopold Canal, also here a monotonous landscape that offers unique insights into the Baden farming culture.
If you get up early, take some time and leave the Rhine floodplain trail at the end of the Rennkehle, an old arm of the Rhine, and cross the Taubergießen straight ahead, occasionally drifting to the right into the floodplain forest (not suitable for the disabled), and an untouched archaic natural landscape lies at your feet. Don’t worry, you cannot get lost. On your right is the Rhine floodplain trail, on your left the dike. Follow it to a weir, then turn left and follow the path to reach the Rhine and the Rhine floodplain trail.
We cross the Leopold Canal at the first opportunity and return into the floodplain forest spectacle. Shortly before leaving the forest, a sign points us to Whyl.
